PEARL JAM, TRENT REZNOR To Perform At California's BRIDGE SCHOOL Benefit Concerts

September 11, 2006

PEARL JAM will be performing at the 20th annual Bridge School benefit concerts October 21-22, 2006, at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Other artists scheduled to perform include TRENT REZNOR, FOO FIGHTERS, NEIL YOUNG, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, BRIAN WILSON, and DEVENDRA BANHART. Tickets go on sale September 17 at 10:00 a.m.

According to The Mercury News, many of the featured acts are veterans of Bridge School benefits. Notably, PEARL JAM has performed at four concerts, and the band's lead singer, Eddie Vedder, played the show as recently as 2004. The DAVE MATTHEWS BAND hit the Bridge stage in 1997 and 2000, and Matthews made a solo appearance last year.

The concerts help raise money for the San Francisco Bay Area-based Bridge School, which serves students with severe speech and physical impairments. The concerts have taken place every year at the Shoreline Amphitheatre since 1986, except for 1987, when no concert was held, and 1988, which was held at the Oakland Arena.
